Thermoplastic road marking paint
White thermoplastic road marking paint is a kind of powder paint is used as road surface markings .
When applied , a hot melt kettle is used to heat it to 200 °C (392 °F) to melt the powder,
after which it is sprayed on the road surface. After cooling, the paint forms a thick polymer layer,
which is wear-resistant, bright, and reflective.
In recent years, practical applications tests have proved that the marking lines lack surface roughness
and can easily cause wheel slip, resulting in a traffic accident in snow and rainy weather. Therefore,
some countries once restricted the use of this paint. In order to increase the antiskid performance of the line,
thermoplastic paint has added reflective glass beads. Thermoplastic can be used very effectively for large anti-skid areas
on roads and pedestrian walkways by adding glass beads.It hardens quickly and can be driven over after just a few minutes.
Commodity Type
The road marking paint thermoplastic can be divided into hot melt pavement marking coating, hot melt convex pavement marking coating and color anti-skid pavement marking coating.
The cold marking paint is divided into single component or two component cold spraying marking paint, scraping marking paint, structural marking paint, color anti-skid pavement marking paint,
water-based pavement marking paint, fluorescent marking paint and all day reflective marking paint
Construction Parameters
The thickness of hot melt paint is 0.9MM-2.0MM, and the general construction thickness is about 1.5-1.8.
– Shoe And cooker must be cleaned before construction.
– Shoe thickness must be adjusted in accordance with the technical requirements of construction.
– Crucible of construction machines and shoe must be heated with gas stove before pouring paint industry from large cooking pot on.
– When the flow completely, the paint will go through the system 6mm x 6mm mesh filter and flows into shoe, where insulated paint in minimum temperature 180°C – 190°C.

CONSTRUCTION PROCEDURE
1. Clean pavement: Organize manual and mechanical equipment to clean the construction section of the road surface, remove all debris and loose stone, soil, floating dust.
2. Anti-fouling of road marking: The road marking of construction section shall be protected by transparent tape, and the marking shall not be polluted during construction. Remove the tape after construction.
3. Spray fine sand: Uniformly spray fine sand, dosage is 250-350g/m2.
4. Spraying high-viscous asphalt sealer: According to the structure depth and ageing of the original pavement, the spraying amount of high-viscous asphalt sealer is accurately controlled in the range of 0.3-0.6kg/m2.
5. Spray fine sand and open traffic: Re-spray the fine sand at the vehicles tyres passing by, dosage is 100-200g/m2, traffic can be opened after 1-2 hours of maintenance.
