Hot melt line marking

Advantages: It is very easy to sample raw materials such as marble, the processing technology is simple, construction is straightforward, the non-stick time is short, and traffic can be quickly opened to the public; it has a wide range of applications; thickness is 0.5-2.5mm, slightly thick; the reverse transmittance coefficient is generally; low project cost; high cost performance; the service life is generally around 24 months.

Disadvantages: Vulnerable to temperature differences, leading to cracks in service life; the working ability of road marking glass beads is weak, and the glass beads can easily fall off, with a rapid early retroreflection decay coefficient; the construction of this project requires compressed natural gas heating, which pollutes the environment and consumes resources; maintenance construction must close traffic, with high construction efficiency, significant safety hazards, and great harm to traffic flow; it is difficult and costly to clean the marking lines on old roads. During use, glass beads and discarded road signs will enter the soil on both sides of the road with precipitation, causing environmental pollution. Especially, glass beads are difficult to dissolve, making this issue serious in the long term.

Solution-type road marking

Advantages: Low cost, simple and convenient construction, early visibility, good visual recognition, generally mechanical automatic coating, high efficiency;

Disadvantages: Thin thickness, poor adhesion, poor wear resistance; short cycle, generally 3 months; no retroreflection; strong odor, not environmentally friendly, VOC pollution. Generally only applied on municipal roads, not suitable for busy traffic conditions such as highways and provincial roads.

Two-component road marking

Advantages: High reverse transmittance coefficient; low VOC consumption, environmentally friendly; thin thickness of 0.4-1.6 mm; good adhesion of the coating to the ground, good wear resistance; strong adhesion of the coating to glass microspheres, with good reflective performance. Can be molded into various structural forms; during maintenance construction, old lines do not need to be cleaned and can be immediately covered, with excellent bonding effect of the road marking solid layer; mechanical automation methods can be chosen, high efficiency, good effect, and minimal harm to traffic flow; during use, fine particles in the air are reduced.

Disadvantages: Both components A and B are prepared on-site, with significant soil chemical changes, requiring high professional technical quality of the construction team; drying time is longer than hot melt types, with greater temperature vulnerability. Requires special equipment, and the price of machinery is high; the price of road markings is relatively high;

Water-soluble road marking

Advantages: Compared to two-component road markings, it can be understood as a single component, with simple coating construction; strong adhesion of raw materials to the ground, high reverse transmittance coefficient; during maintenance construction, old lines do not need to be cleaned and can be immediately coated, with strong adhesion of the road marking solid layer; good environmental protection, a key alternative solution for road markings; maintenance construction can be completed quickly with automated machinery; moderate price; low exhaust emissions during service life.

Disadvantages: The natural environment for construction is relatively high, and the drying time is relatively long, which is not conducive to maintenance work; wear resistance is relatively weak; it can serve as an alternative for road markings and can also restore the reflective performance of road markings.
